In recent weeks, Innate Needs quietly went live - and the response so far has been incredibly encouraging.
We created this platform to help people in crisis quickly and easily find the local support they need - from food banks and warm spaces to clothing banks, addiction services, and mental health support. And we’re proud to say it’s already resonating with those who understand the frontline challenges.
The Response So Far
Since launching, we’ve had positive conversations with several MPs, who are exploring ways to support Innate Needs in their constituencies. We’ve also had a promising discussion with Multibank, who see real potential in using the platform as a signposting tool - provided the data shown is reliable and up to date.
That feedback reinforced something we already knew; a centralised support directory is only as useful as the accuracy of its listings.

We’ve already mapped over 11,500 support services across the UK - but now we need the help of the sector to ensure those listings are accurate, complete, and current.

Keeping It Sustainable
Innate Needs is run by a Community Interest Company (CIC), not a commercial business. We’re committed to keeping this platform accessible and affordable for the people and organisations who need it most.
To help us cover the costs of maintaining accurate listings and continuing to develop useful features, we’re asking for just £1 per location per month. That small contribution helps keep the platform reliable and up to date - so it can truly serve those who rely on it.
