Free Access for All – And a Call to Councils

At Innate Needs, our mission has always been clear: make it easier for people to find the support they need, when they need it. Every day across the UK, people spend hours trying to track down food banks, warm spaces, debt advice, or mental health support. The help is out there, but finding it is often like searching for a needle in a haystack.

That’s why we built the UK’s largest open-access map of community support - a single place where individuals and professionals can search quickly and confidently. And we’re now pleased to share an important announcement: the platform is now completely free to everyone.

This means there are no costs for organisations to appear on the map. Small community groups, volunteer-led projects, and local charities don’t have to worry about listing fees or admin barriers. It also means the people using the platform - whether that’s an individual seeking help or a frontline worker signposting someone else - can do so at no charge. Free to all.

But free access is just the start. To really transform how people connect with support, the platform needs to be as comprehensive and accurate as possible. That’s where councils come in. By choosing to partner with Innate Needs, councils can ensure that all of the services in their local area are visible and up to date, while also connecting their communities to the wider national network of 12,000+ services. The result? Less duplication, fewer out-of-date directories, and more confidence that residents are finding the right help when they need it most.

If you work for a local council - in social care, health, housing, community services, or signposting - we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can build a more joined-up support system, one that reduces stress for residents, saves time for staff, and ensures no one slips through the cracks.

Get in touch with us today - let’s make finding help as simple as it should be.
